John Tyndall is a Texas native, born in San Antonio where he dropped out of the famed East Central High School (Go Hornets). He chose to explore the world in lieu of a continued formal education. Two years later he got his GED and entered a few vocational schools while working multiple jobs. Twenty years later, having been fully involved in the bar/nightlife industry John was ready to go back to school and he hasn’t looked back since.
This is not to say he’s been resting on his laurels. He’s costumed looks for Drag Performers from Canada, and across the Southeast US. As well as fashioned looked for his own personal creation Bearded Donna, she available for all fundraisers, (well she's always available).
He’s had the great joy of costuming, performing, and doing lots of administrative work with a large group of cabaret performers called F5 - The Charming Assholes in South Carolina. John has performed across the country from the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC to Theater off Jackson with The Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam in Seattle WA.
Before his time at Cornish College of the Arts, John had an opportunity to work on one of his all time favorite show, The Rocky Horror Show, not just once, but three times in two different cities. He’s been with the shows as both a performer (Dr. Frank) and costume designer.
He’s also a 2016/17 alumnus of The Cornish Original Works program. Cutting his teeth in formal play writing and directing. He's churned out some of his best writing in years and learned he had a knack for Directing. Samples of his writing are available upon request.
A culmination of John's work has recently been seen on the Cornish Campus with the Seattle Premiere of The Victorian Hotel by Angus Oblong. It tied together all of John's thematic passions of acceptance, puppets, sexuality, and dark humor, as well as the skills he's honed in his time at Cornish College of the Arts.
